Interview: Maria Nenadi
Luca Curci talks with Maria Nenadi, one of the winners of ARTIST OF THE MONTH – NOVEMBER 2020.

Maria Nenadi is a civil engineer who made a big turn in her life by dedicating herself to Art. Walking on the path of self-knowledge, she discovers how painting can pass to the viewer visual messages that will raise vibration and awaken his soul. Based in Thessaloniki, she aims to influence the lives of people around the world. She loves modern painting and especially abstract Art. Maria feels that in an abstract artwork the viewer will distinguish what he really needs to receive at every moment, and that is what fascinates her. In an abstract artwork, everyone will create their own story, discovering the message that passed through the channel to reach them. Her purpose of life is to deliver this message. Maria has recently organized her studio and now spends every day in Art. She has participated in many group exhibitions in Greece, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain. Her artworks adorn private collections in Greece and abroad.

Luca Curci – What is art for you? 
Maria Nenadi – Art is a channel for messages to be given.
I do believe that every single artwork is a unique being that came in the world for a reason. Its recipient is predetermined and sooner or later he will magically stand in front of it and receive all the information he needed to remember. This is Art. A clear channel.

LC – What’s your background? What is the experience that has influenced your work the most?
MN – Freedom is my most important need. I had enough “boxes” in my life, and I tried to fit in them for years and years. When I finally decided that it was about time for me to go where I belong and create a “new future” for myself, starting from the very beginning, I needed to feel free to go with the flow. This is why I love abstract. It gives me the Freedom to start walking without knowing where I am going to. So, I enjoy the journey and collect all its gifts, every artwork is a new blessing for me. 

LC – Are your artworks focused on a specific theme?
MN – When I stand in front of a white canvas I ask for “it” to be installed. There is no specific theme and this is the second reason I love abstract. When I jump in an abstract artwork to receive its message, I collect the information I needed to earn from it. When you come and focus on the same artwork, you will receive the information you needed to install. Magic? Yes, this is Magic.

LC – How is being an artist nowadays?
MN – I consider myself as a blessed messenger. So, this is the time humanity needs this channeling most than ever. Mission in progress.

LC – Where do you find your inspiration?
MN – Inspiration is a choice. I choose to be inspired and I “ask” for it. “Ask and you will receive”, there is an endless source of inspiration out there.
